ELM collaborates with TOYOTA on micromobility
⚡ We're delighted to share our collaboration with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK as part of a Toyota led consortium, funded through the #DRIVE35 programme, delivered by the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK.
Toyota will explore the feasibility of a lightweight passenger Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in the L6e category - a compact, zero-emission solution designed for the evolving needs of urban life.
ELM is developing it's own purpose-built electric last mile delivery vehicle in the L7eCu category, enabling a step change in efficiency for urban logistics.
ELM will work with Toyota to maximise the number of shared components across the two vehicle platforms, aimed at reducing the combined development costs and benefiting from the economies of scale the collaboration will bring.
