Data Collection Programme
Thank you for choosing to support ELM Mobility.
We want to develop the worlds most efficient, purpose built last mile delivery vehicle.
Your participation in our Data Collection Programme will help us develop better vehicles.
Overview for Drivers

What
The data being collected is vehicle telemetry, including GPS location, speed, heading and accelerometer data. This is collected at a variable frequency of up to once per second while your vehicle is in motion.

When
The Black Boxes are 'always on' with data collated daily. The data collection period has been agreed with your employer, but is typically one month. The data will be kept for upto 3 years to support development.

How
The data is collected using cloud connected Black Boxes fitted to your vehicle. The data is augmented with additional contextual data such as operation, weather and traffic data, obtained from 3rd party sources.

Who
While ELM Mobility is considered the Data Controller, other parties fulfil roles in processing and consuming the collected data. Exact details can be found in our Data Protection Policy linked on this page below.

Why
The purpose of the data collection is to help ELM Mobility understand the nuances of last mile delivery vehicle duty cycles. This is to inform the on going design and development of our new delivery vehicles.

Your Rights
While your employer has signed up to our data collection programme, the sensitivity of location data requires us to obtain individual consent from drivers. You have the right to revoke consent at any time.
Lets be clear.
We use telemetry data to track vehicles, not people.
We do not associate individual drivers with any collected data.
Regardless, we require you, the driver, to consent to data collection in your vehicle.
You can give consent using the form at the bottom of this page.
You can revoke your consent at any time by emailing hello@elmmobility.com
